Sleepy Head

Wake up sleepy head
.... it's time to climb out of your bed,
it's time you go and see the sun
....and go and play and have some fun,
before you go to bed tonight make sure you use all the day light

Twins of Love and Appreciation

My first effort were twins for a very special person,
One painting was not enough because I feel so much,
I chose the royalty of Flowers because their royal nature,
I chose it because its simple beauty contrasts their complexity,
I chose it because together they are singly beautiful and meaningful,
But together they are stronger and show the strength of my affection.

Sharron of Light

The sun is everlasting in our lives,
The yellow daisy shines like a bright sun,
I made this painting for you because in your own way,
You have become my guiding light in China,
Like the sun you have brighten my life with all of your help,
I feel that in you I have someone that will light my way when I need light,
You have always given me all I have asked of you and that is why,
In just a few days you became as everlasting as the sun in my life,
The painting I gave you is but a small statement of my appreciation,
But it does show that bright sunshine I see coming from your giving heart!

BLUE LOVE

Maidenne.....If you see love in this painting then I have done a great painting,
For each stroke of my brush was done for you with great joy in my heart,
Each ray of light that reflects it into your eyes shows you my appreciation for you,
Each time you look at it you will look into my heart and see your place there!
I hope you like it as much as I do, but more than for a painting—
For all that you mean to me!

A Dream Come True!

One best thing about travelling is, making your dreams come true.

My trip to Tagaytay, Philippines was a gem to treasure. I experienced the things that I never experience before and I have seen a place that I never seen before. The place, Nurture Spa was filled with romance, beauty, loveliness, exquisiteness, friendliness, easiness and perfection. You may say that this is too much but for me it is the fact, the reality.

I can still feel the fragrance of the place, the aroma of tranquility. The immense feeling of having someone scrubs and massages you perfectly and gracefully. The great feeling of seeing the nature, the butterflies sucking the sweet buds of flowers and the fresh and green grasses along your steps. Imagine the fogs over the mountains and zigzag roads with falling waters. Horses and cows along your way.  Aside from its fresh and clean air, the most beautiful ingredient of the place is the alluring nature accompanied by charming people with their sweet smiles and friendly faces. Wow!!!! What a great place to stay!!

Three days of staying there made my dream come true and I counted this experience as one of the best memoirs of my existence.

Upsetting yet Enjoyable

I really love travelling and learning new things from different places.

Recently, I experienced the most upsetting and enjoyable travel of my life. Weird to feel both simultaneously especially for those who love travelling, since most travelers usually feel either they enjoy or did not enjoy a trip but not such opposing feelings.

Well this happened when traveling to the Philippines. I was upset but also enjoyed it.
Upsetting….First of all, it was not a very good trip for me as I was having headache and could not enjoy the plane. In addition to that, arriving in Ninoy Aquino International Airport was even more upsetting because we could not find an ordinary taxi (not an airport taxi because they cost too much which is an insider’s tip) and have to walk for an hour to get one!! Moreover, traffic hit us on the way going to the bus terminal for Sta. Ana where we planned to stay for five days. Our voyage going to Sta. Ana was very tiring. Imagine sitting for about 12 hours on the bus, waiting for 3 hours at most for a van to go the final way to Sta. Ana and after a very long and exhausting 5 hour trip on a van, the place that we imagined beautiful was not beautiful and accommodating as we expected.

Enjoyable….We went to a place called Aguib Beach near Sta. Ana, which was supposed to be a “white sand” beach. For the very first time, I experienced stepping on to white sand bare footed. I was sooooooh happy because my whole family was with me and some of my relatives too. We stayed the whole day in the beach and got a lot of fun. We gathered sea shells for a colleague back in Shanghai, China, soaked in the blue cold water, played and satisfied our hunger with grilled fish, bulalo (a great soup made from Carabao), boiled banana and fresh native fruits!! That day was very precious for me and a treasure to be always remembered. My trip continued with more mishaps but that is a story still to come.

On this trip I learned that at times we have to be ready to all the circumstances our trip may bring us and not let our frustrations and disappointments spoil our vacation because somewhere somehow there’s still a real nice place to visit and there are always people who would make our traveling experience worthwhile.

An Hour Stay in East Nanjing Road, Shanghai, China

East Nanjing Road or Nanjing Dong Lu (Chinese) is usually teeming, especially during afternoons, evenings and even weekends. I’ve been in this road before with my friends. The unusual thing about this time was I am not feeling good as I had a headache and was irritated since I’d been waiting almost an hour for Joel to arrive. To forget my bad mood, I roamed around to explore the shops, malls, restaurants and cafés on the street.

Haaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy…This Street is one of the hot spots where locals and visitors are attracted to it.The road was traffic-free and kept everyone entertained because there was a little train-like coming and going with visitors on board. Well, while walking, I did forget my headache because the place was so nice. After one hour, Joel arrived. What more can I say? Hahahaha I am so happy because he’s friend Kuya Leo is a skilled photographer, he is a Master at capturing true raw beauty and beyond that a master of lighting. The portraits even with a difficult lighting situaton were brilliant not only in the light but in the shadows as well. His ability to relax you in a pose was incredible because I know how difficult you are to relax. All in all a work of art and specially the one with just hint of light--absolutely shining…

Well, I love taking pictures though I’ve never been professionally photographed and most especially I love posing like a model... Hahahaha…
